Description

Veronica beccabunga, commonly known as Brooklime, is a versatile native marginal pond plant that produces clusters of small, bright blue flowers set against lush green foliage.

Flowering from late spring through summer, Brooklime spreads gently along the pond edge, creating a soft, natural look that works beautifully in wildlife ponds, streams, and bog gardens. Its low-growing, creeping habit helps to soften hard edges and blend planting areas together.

This hardy plant thrives in shallow water or consistently damp soil and is well suited to planting in aquatic baskets or directly into the pond margins. It can be positioned in water depths of up to around 5–10cm (2–4”), where it will establish quickly and provide excellent ground cover.
